Scottie Johnson

Scott Johnson serves as the South Bay Program Manager at Bay Area Training Academy, where he oversees daily program operations, instructor support, and student success at the South Bay campus. He helps ensure instructional quality, monitors student progress, and supports instructors in delivering high-quality EMS education. 

Scott brings extensive experience in emergency medical services, having worked for more than a decade as a paramedic in Alameda County with agencies including Paramedics Plus, AMR, and King American Ambulance. He has also served as a Field Training Officer, mentoring new EMTs entering the field. 

Prior to joining the academy, Scott served as EMS Program Director for Defib This in Santa Cruz, where he supervised instructors, developed curriculum, and led EMT courses. As a licensed California Paramedic and experienced EMS educator, Scott is committed to preparing students for successful careers in emergency medical services.
