Michael Amador
Primary EMT Instructor
Michael Amador serves as a Primary Instructor at Bay Area Training Academy, where he delivers both classroom instruction and hands-on skills training for EMT students. In this role, Michael teaches core EMT curriculum, guides students through practical patient care scenarios, and helps prepare them for written, oral, and psychomotor certification examinations. He also monitors student progress, attendance, and academic performance to support student success throughout the program.Â
Michael brings extensive real-world EMS experience to the classroom. He previously worked as a Mobile Health Technician with the Mobile Crisis Response Team at UC Berkeley and served as a full-time paramedic providing 911 emergency response and patient care. His background in prehospital medicine allows him to connect classroom instruction with real-world emergency scenarios, giving students valuable insight into the demands of the field.Â
With a passion for education and emergency medicine, Michael is committed to helping students develop clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and confidence needed to succeed as entry-level EMS professionals.Â
